Stephanie sent me a link to the New York Times article announcing the opening of Murray’s Cheese in several Kroger supermarkets. I’m not sure how I feel about Murray’s becoming a national chain. Although I guess that midwesterners should be allowed the pleasure of a good runny Camembert too.
More bothersome is the realization that if I had been frequenting Murray’s in 1991 I could have purchased it for $50,000. Sure I was 10 but even then I had a fine appreciation for all things stinky. Another opportunity missed.
As we tie up the final details with the contractor it’s time to get my act together on all the details.
We need 6 lights on the parlor floor and another 5 or so on the garden level. I have a lot of things that I like but it’s hard to look at everything and imagine how it will work together. And because I want to avoid any possibility of blaming myself if something goes awry let’s put it up for a vote.
We have two separate lights in the entranceway. I’m thinking maybe two of the same.
