Last night Tammy, Emily, Jasper and I had a relaxing dinner in the East Village. In between Jasper’s desperate whines to share my dinner, we heard all about Emily’s wedding planning which might involve a tree or two. This morning these made me think of how she’s sure to be a stunning bride. Congratulations Emily!

As I mentioned previously, we have amazing artists contributing to our Mexico festivities. And, while I want everything to be a surprise for our guests, I’m so excited I can’t keep it all in any longer!
We recently finalized our order for rehearsal dinner goodies and they arrived all the way from Switzerland. Everyone that I’ve spoken with via Etsy has been delightful but Christa has been especially flexible.
I’m so happy to have her artwork part of our weekend. Check out her flickr site too!

Thom had a few surprises for me last weekend in honor of our wedding day. And, um, that it was our anniversary. I totally forgot about that part and only gave Thom the gift of my love.
I’ve wanted an Ann Wood bird for ages but never was able to find the perfect one. Her birds are really sought after and whenever she posts new ones to her site they’re gone immediately. Thom found Gus and Tilly at Cog and Pearl and they made the perfect present for our winter wedding.Gus and Tilly hanging out on the eames rocker.
AND proving that this blog is a valuable tool, Thom also snagged these gorgeous places from dolamakes. Tony and Val sent us the whale dish for a wedding present. Supporting Brooklyn independent artists!
i. love. these.

And I might pretend that they look a bit like me and the soon-to-be hubby.
(Yes, I’m using the term “hubby” now. I can do that. I’m getting married in 5 days people!)

Oooh, maybe I love this more!

Then there’s these amazing ceramic pieces that I’ve been drooling over.

Susan Kniffin Davidson has more work up in her Etsy store.
We’re still a bit away from our next tile project (the kitchen and downstairs bathroom) but if only I could sneak one of these suckers in… Probably not good for resale. And I’m lucky Thom let’s me keep Susan’s baby head cup in the house at all.
But Susan did let me know that she will have more cups in her store around Xmas time. And our baby needs a friend.
