After months of pondering and lusting after not-quite-right options, our coffee table is arriving tomorrow! In the end, due to the shape of the room, we had to prioritize the mobility and storage of this table over others. And, the fake-industrial look of this one will soften a bit the modern edge of the room.
Next - on to the office!
*By the way, I’ve never read The Economist in my life. More like a home for my collection of Us Weekly.

I may have been known to take a nap or two on whatever couch is in sight. Which is why the choice of our next couch is so important to me. It has to be comfy, classic and less than 78″ which is the size of the cubby in the den. And to fit into the color scheme for the room - grey.
I’m going to take a peek into a couple other stores but Room and Board is likely the best option because they’re affordable, have lots of options in our size and you can pick any fabric/sofa combination.
These are the ones I’m considering (not necessarily in these specific fabrics). Any favorites?

What? Daylight savings can be rough, people.
This sofa would be nice right about now.

We recently gave away the big green couch, chair and ottoman so we’re back to living in an empty room. While I’m glad that we were able to give the old furniture a new home (it never really fit properly in the house) we need to figure out what we want to put in the den.
I’ve ordered a new cover for the West Elm daybed (light blue) and I’ll pick up some new pillows to complete the color scheme. We’re also planning on getting two new chairs for the room. Which do you like better (there are many fabric options available so we’re not necessarily going to get red or blue)?
I’m pretty sold on the second one in a cream or very light green…
