why didn’t we have that idea?

With our one year anniversary this Wednesday (already?!) it makes me wonder why we didn’t elope to Africa. Or at least try to.

do you want to spend the rest of your life having fun or do you want to spend it with me?

Taking full advantage of Thom being away and the pouring rain outside I’ve been watching lots of movies today. Failure to Launch was especially crappy but Sarah Jessica, I couldn’t have said it better myself.

[I highly recommend Teeth, however.]

Can you believe they’re not related? Look at that forehead. And the nose.

decorator, designer and marriage counselor all in one

“We have a saying in my company: The wife is always right unless the husband is gay. Questioning your husband’s sexuality is a great way to get him to shut up. Assuming that this is not the case and your husband is straight (is he?), you simply have no recourse other than to eliminate him from the process. Take into account some of his functional needs, and then ignore everything else.”
- Jonathan Adler

I always knew I was right. About everything. Thankfully I married a man who knows it too.

destined to be a failure

As a newlywed the whole world is filled with champagne and roses. Ok, not really. But I have nothing really to complain about. The sun is shining (finally) and it’s Friday (whoo hoo!).

So I thought why not see where I fall on the Marital Rating Scale. Little did I know that I am a “very poor (failure)” wife.

I should have seen that coming. I knew my aversion to children would come back to bite me in the ass. And, excuse me, but what else is a husband for if not to warm your cold feet in bed?

Although, to be honest, I’m not sure how you can possibly reach a “very superior” score - where the heck does the 76 points come from? Maybe there was once several pages of these?
