Don’t get me wrong. I think the books suck (well, the one I read.) The movie was even worse. But I’ll still be seeing this. If only to pretend that I could scream and giggle along with the (what I assume to be) 12 year old girls.

I realize that he’s all of 12 years old (ok, actually 20). As far as I’m concerned, Anton Yelchin was the second best thing about Star Trek. [Nothing can really beat this.] And wasn’t to shabby as Charlie Bartlett either.

Thanks to my father, Star Trek had a big impact on my childhood, along with Red Dwarf. I think Thom might have married me because of a certain Universal Studios-created video starring the Negrons and Olivers. [In case you were wondering, I look good with Vulcan ears.]
Anyhow, I’m VERY excited for the new Star Trek movie. So excited, in fact, that I tried really hard to figure out how we could coincide with my parent’s trip to Atlanta in May just so I could go see this with Mark. [And celebrate my mother’s birthday!]
I’ll be thinking of you during every action-packing minute.

…contrary to what Anthony Hopkins said on the Oscar’s this past Sunday. But he’s awfully nice to look at. Whatever you think of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, it’s made of some pretty cool technical stuff.
And if you’re not familiar with TED you should be. Now. If anyone knows how I can get invited to the next TED I would be willing to do you some very special favors.

Taking full advantage of Thom being away and the pouring rain outside I’ve been watching lots of movies today. Failure to Launch was especially crappy but Sarah Jessica, I couldn’t have said it better myself.
[I highly recommend Teeth, however.]
